Alice Continues...

After a little pause to straighten out myself work has once again commenced on "Alice". The plan is to continue until I am producing handmade 6"x 6" books on watercolor paper/Canvas cover.  Here is a little sneak peek of a few textures that will be included in the book.

Looking Out, Looking Forward....

Most of the time I need to force myself to create images that are simple and straight photography. I have been building a series that consists of snapshots and portraits from my life. These may not be the most interesting for others but they are already treasure to me. I can only imagine how I will feel about them a decade from now. This series will keep me shooting as well as keep me content. Here is a new favorite that will surely be included.

There is a season.

With every extensive car ride to northern Michigan a new layer of nostalgia is inevitably added to the memories of my childhood home. Although the time that I spent here has almost all but disappeared, I seem to be opening windows when I photograph the items that remain on the property. The emotions that have surfaced surprise me and I am becoming more and more grateful for the upbringing that I experienced. I feel as if I have lost out on many years of documenting change, neglect, love and reality.  I can't wait to catch up...
