"But do cats eat bats, I wonder?"

Another project has sprung itself into the foreground. This time it is an interpretation on the story of little Alice. Alice Liddell that is, the young girl with which Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (better known as author Lewis Carroll) found himself intrigued with. Just Google or click on their names to find out more about the controversy that was associated with their relationship. I have always found myself drawn to the original stories of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, even though in all honesty they totally freak me out. The story has been changed, shaped, and morphed through the years and I still find myself attracted to the original renditions. The first "Alice" film created was made in 1903. It has a dark ambiance that I personally love and am hoping to replicate.

I envision a very Sally Mann and pictorialist project or maybe even in the style of Lewis Carroll, you know he was a photographer after all! Here are some of his images of Alice...

...Wish me Luck!
